High Speed WirelessThe world is being overtaken by the true wireless revolution with more and more people turning to wireless technology for their internet needs. We have 3G, WiFi and Wimax among some of the spreading technologies and everybody seems to love the concept of being wired constantly, for work or play. The advent of the social network further expanded the need for such wireless networks and add to that the proliferation of smart-phones and ultra-portables, they connect to the internet anywhere there is a wireless hotspot. People who rely heavily on the internet for their income and social needs even get hold of wireless hotspot detectors that tells them if there is a strong enough signal to connect and go on with their activities.
Blogging, twittering and many more have become the norm and traditional phone service providers have been glad to oblige, shifting their equipment and focus onto more wireless and internet access points. The revolution of the internet is continuing as the information age sweeps all corners of the globe. ISP’s who cater to our internet needs are all over the place, some good and some good enough. Though not created equal, they really do vary from area to area and country to country as they compete for as much subscribers to maximize their profit margins to off-set investments on expensive hardware that has to be constantly upgraded to cater to the growing needs. Most offer package deals to cater to different needs, from basic ones to more advanced high-speed access, able to connect at lighting speeds just to get a blog post to meet the set deadline. The world would cease to function should the internet suffer a catastrophic failure, just hope the people who own and maintain these networks have enough facilities to make up for failure.
